Feel like getting to know your fellow campers? You’ll typically find folks out and about either going for a stroll, walking their dog, hitting the nature trail, sitting by a campfire, or just talking with other guests.
Warm Up or Cool Down
You don’t know heat unless you’ve felt the Texas afternoon sun. Of course, our woodland park provides plenty of shade.
For the cooler nights, you can warm up by one of our fire pits located at every site.
Fun and Games
Our fun activities (coming soon) are perfect for the whole family and there to use at your leisure. We have plenty for you to choose from, including:
- Cornhole
- Washers
- Bocce Ball
- Life-Size Jenga
- Life-Size Connect Four
If your family enjoys regular Jenga, just wait until you play the game with giant blocks!
Exploring the City
Our wooded campground might make you feel like you’re in the middle of nowhere, but the truth is that we’re only a short drive away from the greater Tyler area. If you find yourself needing groceries or craving Starbucks, you’ll find what you need just up the highway within minutes. Tyler also has lots of fun activities for the family, couples, friends, and solo travelers. However, make sure to check out Visit Tyler or the calendar here.
Outdoor Fun
Looking for outdoor adventure? Above all, Tyler has plenty of options to choose from.

- You can play disc golf at ROC, South Spring Baptist Church, and Lindsey Park.
- If you like hiking and mountain biking, you can explore the trails at Faulkner Park, Lindsey Park, and Tyler State Park.
- Caldwell Zoo is a great place to meet some wildlife.
- So is the Tiger Creek Wildlife Refuge, where you can see tigers, lions, and other big cats.
- At the Texas Rose Horse Park, you can catch a horse show or just admire some beautiful animals.
- The Kiepersol Winery is perfect for the grown-ups in your group to sample wines and tour a vineyard.
- Our family loves the zip-lines in New York, Texas.
- For Golfers, Oak Hurst Golf Course at Peach Tree Golf Club are just down the road
- A large, shaded dog park right here at Woodland Creek RV Park
Arts and Culture
Who says you can’t have a cultured camping experience? If you’re a fan of the arts, you’ll certainly enjoy your time in the city of Tyler. However, you might catch a play or musical at the UT Tyler Cowan Center or the Tyler Civic Theatre. Then there’s Liberty Hall, an old movie theatre that shows classic movies and offers live performances. Moreover, you can also visit several museums to learn about art, history, science, and more.
